Multiroom Audio is the provision of sound to many rooms around the house from one central location.

Common sources include MP3 players, CD's iPODS, iPHONES, Tuners, Satellite Decoders etc.

With a modern MRA system these sources can be listened to in any connected room independently of any other room and at any desired volume. 

Most systems permit the control of the source equipment via the wall mounted keypad or via an IR repeating system or both.  Most Smarthomes employ a Multiroom Audio system.
